I’m Shaun McBroom, the founder of Ocotillo Irrigation. I’ve been working in thoughtful & artful irrigation for over a decade, first on a farm I and my wife owned for five and a half years. We used drip irrigation, hydroponics and water catchment to grow heirloom varieties of tomatoes and sweet and spicy peppers. During that time, I grew interested in and eventually developed a love for the careful and creative process of maximizing the use of available water, originally to grow 50,000 pounds of tomatoes a year for local chef-owned restaurants, farmers markets and wholesalers statewide.

Eventually, I developed a passion for helping others achieve a more natural and effective way to irrigate their lawns and home gardens. After selling my farm and obtaining a state irrigation license, I now pursue that passion by designing irrigation and water catchment systems to make Texas hill landscapes beautiful and eco-friendly.
